Does it hurt?
At first, yes. The first two or three sessions feel sharp and intense, so wear a light shirt as a buffer and keep sessions to 5–10 minutes. By around the third or fourth session, the sharpness gives way to a warm, heavy kind of relaxation, and that's the point where most people start looking forward to it.
How long until I feel something?
You'll usually notice warmth within a few minutes of your first session. The bigger change, easier evenings and a quicker wind-down, builds as it becomes a habit over the first two to three weeks. Our free 21-Day Reset Program (PDF) walks you through those weeks day by day.
How is Aculora different from other acupressure mats?
It's a complete evening ritual rather than a mat in a bag. You get a full-size mat, a neck pillow and a carry bag in one set, plus our free 21-Day Reset Program, a day-by-day guide to help you ease in without giving up in week one. It ships tracked across the US, and a real person answers every email at hello@aculora.com.
When will it arrive?
Orders ship within 1–2 business days. In the US, most orders arrive within 7–12 business days after that, about two weeks from when you order. International orders usually take longer; shipping costs and delivery estimates for your country are shown at checkout. Every order is tracked, and you'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it ships.
Can I return it?
Yes. Email hello@aculora.com with your order number and we'll walk you through the return. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
How long should I lie on an acupressure mat?
Start with 5–10 minutes and build up to 20. Keep a shirt on in week one, try bare skin and 12–15 minutes in week two, and by week three most people settle into a 20-minute evening session. The full day-by-day schedule is in our free 21-Day Reset Program (PDF).
Should I use it on a bed or the floor?
A bed is gentler and the floor is deeper. A soft surface spreads your weight across more points, so it's a good place to start. On the floor your weight concentrates on fewer points, which makes the pressure much stronger. Same mat, two different sessions.
Is an acupuncture mat the same as an acupressure mat?
Yes, it's the same product. Nothing pierces the skin. The points press into it, which is why "acupressure mat" is the accurate name, even though many people search for "acupuncture mat."
Who shouldn't use it?
Don't use it on broken, irritated or sensitive skin, and keep it away from children and pets. If you're pregnant, have a heart condition, take blood thinners or have any other medical condition, check with your doctor first.
How do I clean it?
Spot-clean the cover with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air-dry flat. Don't machine wash or tumble dry it.
